I'd say there are few more aware of the effects of corruption than Koreans... mainly cuz of a few factors:


1. Neighbours with one of the most corrupt nations on earth, China.
2. Samsung, a single company, holds 15% of the jobs in the country yet pays about 60% of the total salaries across the country, last I checked. Hoser did a good video on it.
3. Oh god is their culture competitive... very much so cutthroat in business & school alike.
