Don't pity them too much. They could enjoy this more than any other since, at the end of the day, artists can be immensely proud of their work. As long as it satisfies them, this series would probably be the most interesting to work on out of any that I've seen.

Anyway, it's just a misunderstanding so whatever, I ain't gonna hit ya. I'm just gonna rant a little on why the Githyanki suck and Githzerai are kinda cool.

So with d&d lore, the Gith, led by Gith, the first Gith, staged a revolution against the Illinois- I mean Illithids. That's great cuz I dislike my mind being flayed. Also having an elderly brain is generally not a good thing lmao~
But after the successful revolution, the Gith split into two forces, the Githyanki & the Githzerai. The former wanted to basically replace the Illithids, taking control of the cosmos with rhe technology they'd stolen. The Githzerai said 'fk that' and wanted peace now that they were free.
As this occurred, the one who would later become the old hag of the Githyanki backstabbed Gith herself, sending her to the nine hells to negotiate a deal with Tiamat for support. Gith never came back. It's likely that, if she were still alive, Gith would've supported the zerai over the yankee.

Now the old hag, with the support of red dragons from Tiamat, waged a war against the zerai... they killed the leader of the Githzerai, but failed to wipe them out because the peace lovers set up shop in Pandemonium and used their absurd psionic powers to create fortress cities in a dimension where chaos reigns supreme.
Not only that, but from what I've gathered the Githzerai have an even greater population than their yankee counterparts, and haven't had to deal with losses incurred during invasions of the material plane.
The old hag, who has since become a lich, rules over her pathetic kin in the astral plane, feeding off the corpses of dead gods like some sort of parasite.

If I run a campaign in the future, imma make the Githyanki invade at the worst possible time, antagonizing the players and hopefully causing them to hunt down the Githyanki. The final goal? Killing the old hag.

Anyway, that's the story of the Gith except oversimplified and condensed through the lens of a Gith hater. If ya know all this already, just tell me more about what you dislike about em.
