my long term memory is actually pretty great.
I remember shit by association. I essentially put my memories in a giant filing cabinet and each drawer is related to a different subject, but i can only open a drawer when an associated subject unlocks it. so when i read the newest chapter the drawer with all of this stories info gets opened and I can skim through it, but if I'm just in the middle of something else the drawer is locked and i have no clue what's happening.
