I mean it makes sense, even if you do have memories as a grown up, your brain is physically that of a child, a kid's brain is not so developed compared to that of an adult. Also your body is that of a child as well so, obviously you cant do what you used to do, well in trade of course you get to have lots of energy among other things, If you have kids you should know how much they run around once they can run by themselves XD.

So I'd say, no, you're not thinking too much of it in my opinion.

That said there's also a different manga that tackles this topic, its isekai as well but in a fantasy setting of a adult turning to a child spirit of snow, its a wholesome comic
