To explain, Shiro split herself in two when she made Trinia and sent the split off half down to the surface while she remained just outside of the world. The split side grew to become Kuro after living amongst Shiros creations.

it may be a few days late, but reading through this tread has made me recognize that you and I are of similar soul(at least partly).

Writing longwinded comments(not an insult mind you) so as not to have your words misconstrued, and trying(often in vain) to explain subtext and fantasy logic to folks who so glaringly lack it.

Its a tough uphill battle with some of these folks, but without discussion we'd get nowhere.

we're currently at about chapter 140, but the manga follows the LN not the WN so some events are slightly different. As such, I'd recommend just rereading from the beginning.

the start of those events is actually quite a bit closer than you'd think. ~2-3 more arcs until the first confession, then everything just snowballs from there (though this series follows the LN not the WN so the order of events might be a bit different)

IIRC Alice is the 4th wife (in the WN anyway) with the order being Kuro, Isis, Seig, Alice, Lilia, Fate, before the end of the main story.

warning about Pandora for anyone interested, She's an insane BDSM addict being an S for almost everyone and an M only for Alice and Kaito. with this being a fantasy world with very effective healing magic you should be able to imagine how dangerous the M side of that can be.

valid honestly. I think its like what Cultured Lost Clone said in their reply. The timing is bad. If this backstory was before/during the fight or before the meeting it would've flowed much more smoothly and given a chance to want to understand the characters. Showing it after the shitshow has been resolved and everything's over just feels like a coverup instead of a proper dive into the characters personas.

fair argument. to clarify, I stated a 1-2 chapter log being fine. I could take an argument for 3 depending on the situation(namely small staff and/or rapid releases), but anything beyond that is ridiculous.

I cant seem to find where it says anything about happy new year or a suggestion of a paywall, but if they truly have an 8 month backlog (presuming 8 chapters at 1 chapter per month) that is quite scummy. LH used to be one of my favorites too when I first got into the manga scene some 7-8 years ago(this was before they even had a proper logo). but as times gone on they've just fallen further and further. disappointing to say the least.
