That's why I love Dead or Alive so much. Spamming is more punishable than any game I've ever played. If you can't read and don't have mix-ups, you're toast. Warm buttery toast 🔪🍞🧈 Nummers 😋

No matter what you wanna do, if they know what to do about it and they know it's coming and when it's coming, it won't work 🤷 Nothing will 🤣 It's freakin' cray-cray how old of a game it is too. Sucks I only recently found it.

Granted, it's got the most wonky hurtboxes I've ever seen. They're an atrocity. You can get hit by chest-height strikes when you're down almost flat on your back on the ground, but I'll get used to it. The spam punishing is worth a lot to me.

I know it's not an mmo, but spamming is a scourge in a lot of fighting games too.

Idk, I don't take him as the type who could be psyched out like that. There's also something I've noticed that seems consistent enough that there is probably a proper term for it in psychology but idk it.

I've seen quite a few fights where it was a lot of people against only 1, and the whole group seemed to think that just because there was a lot of them, that they personally were not gonna have to do anything.

Like they all seemed to think everyone else was gonna dive right in and they were just gonna hang back and the chaos was gonna prevent everyone from noticing they weren't actually helping.

I can see that working, definitely. If they were the only one in the group who was planning on doing it it'd probably work consistently, but in these videos it seemed like the whole group was thinking the same thing.

Even a mouse will bite a snake if it's cornered, and mice share most of our DNA, so of course the 1 person is terrified and going all out. The group all backs off because none of them really want it enough to try that hard. They just thought it would be easy.

Don't get me wrong, that's not what's gonna happen here. These guys seem to all have personal vendettas and they all know it's not gonna be easy. I was just saying that to show people get really emboldened when they think they're not alone.

Not only a kick instead of a punch, but it might be even more fucked up than that 😡😡😡😡😡

I'm not sure, and even if I'm right, I think he missed the spot, but it looked like he was aiming for his liver. I haven't been hit in mine yet (thank fuck) so idk firsthand but I don't need to. That hurts like hell 😡😡😡

I hit someone else's one time when I was a teenager and this was before I knew any of this, so I wasn't even aiming for it. He had the most wildly over-the-top reaction to it that I thought he was being dramatic on purpose. He reacted like I kicked his nuts. Didn't understand it until later.

It's at the bottom of the rib cage on the right hand side and for some stupid reason (that makes me wanna kick evolution's ass) the rib cage doesn't quite cover up the whole thing.

Even on very muscular people, thats a spot where there's just not much muscle there, so if they've got a lean body composition there's still very little difference between that and someone as skinny as Saotome when it comes to liver shots.

Bodyfat is the only thing that can naturally protect it even a little bit, and fat is squishy, so that's still not much. It's a bad place to get hit no matter who you are.

There are easier ways to hit it, like a shovel punch or kicking with the toe or the pointy part of the heel. It barely takes any force to fucking floor anyone with a liver shot, so you would have to really be going overboard to use the bottom of your heel like that 😭

Although it's vulnerable, the liver is the only organ that can regenerate, so if I'm right then that was pretty much the most cruel thing he could've possibly done without causing a long-lasting injury. It has been mentioned that Kuzuhana aims for vital spots, so she would definitely know all of this and would have recognized it for exactly what it was.

Like I said, when I did it it was an accident, so it wouldn't be a fair presumption in all cases, but in this one I think it's safe to assume he knows what he's doing. This a VERY "Frieza on planet Namek"-esque situation. We might be about to witness the birth of a Super Sand Lesbian.

That's the name the author uses??? Cheese and rice, that pisses me off more than them ending this manga 💢😤💢

Did nobody tell them a pen name can be anything??? How you gonna get famous and use a 3-digit number as a pen name? It better at least be some kinda reference to something.

Dude I could crap ten better pen names outta my ass in 10 minutes.

Ehh, actually I better not. With my luck one of them will probably be a real person and it'll look like I'm them pulling some petty proxy dickotry.

What. I thought there was only like two of those. You fuckin' with me?? Don't get me wrong, I deserve it, but I'm a whiny bitch. I am always the victim 👍

Remember in most franchises magic isn't just for fighting. It has a lot of utility too. If I had to choose one or the other just for combat I'd rather have the strength/coordination/sturdiness just because it's simpler.

My main reference would be Dungeons and Dragons. Combat is way harder for magic classes at least at low level, but if you pick one of those you get utility spells that help the whole group. And not just obvious stuff.

Like you can make food and water out of nothing, so if you're out in the middle of nowhere people won't have to spend time hunting animals. And you can alter matter, like if you need to get through a wall you can create a door.

Of course a strong character could just smash through the wall, and everyone else could walk through it, but that would be noisy and leaves evidence. If you do the door thing you can turn it back into a normal wall after everyone's through it.

I play wizard and my wife plays rogue, so with the right DM crime can be pretty fun. And like if you need to get across some kinda chasm, a strong character can just jump across it, but not the other ones.

The magic user can make a bridge for everyone. You can also use tools like ropes, like the strong person can jump over first and rig up something everyone else can use, but it takes longer.

You'll also sometimes find magic gear that has a curse on it. Like if it's heavy armor or a huge weapon a wizard can't use it, but if the strong person just picks it up the curse will get them. So wizard removes the curse and the other person can use it safely

Hehe, that reminded me of way back when the word "midget" was still being used casually for little people, but before they came up with the consensus that they liked term "little people", some were thinking "dwarf" might be good.

A comedian named I think Ralphie May, (He would be a complete dickhole by today's standards but people used to just be way more impolite/inconsiderate in general, and this bit was from those times)

He said the word "dwarf" wasn't right because they didn't carry battle axes 😆 "No axe, no dwarf. Sorry. I don't make the rules". I hope he adapted and changed with the times. He didn't seem hateful himself, but more like he wasn't taking other people's hatred seriously enough.

I really respect people who try to be funny without using dark or edgy material as a crutch.

Yeah, I'm usually the one to try and find other solutions even if someone's scummy, but the second they took out cameras, nah. At this point it'd be irresponsible to NOT get violent.

If those guys will do this in the middle of the day in a crowded place, they're certainly not gonna behave themselves when they're alone with one girl somewhere private.

They need to be straightened out before they get that opportunity. And ideally by girls. If they think a guy coming to the rescue is all they need to worry about, it'll just make them more careful. They'll still be bold

I wouldn't consider that much of a defeat. A fight is much more complex than just pushing on something. More of a psychological aspect to it. Itachi's cool head combined with tenacity is what makes her powerful. You don't often see those things in the same person.

Lacking either of those qualities is costly in any dangerous situation, but even if a person is the opposite (unstable/timid) they can still have strong muscles. I think shark onee-san would be way more competent in fighting than anything else.

Oh god, that would be the perfect solution! Once they knew how much of a disaster they'd be walking into, they probably wouldn't escalate the situation.

Whole issue could be buried without anyone getting hurt.

Everyone's calling out the lack of information and the implausibility of the situation even though it's daytime right now and it was night at the end of the last chapter.

Have any of y'all been told a story before?? Things that the viewer/reader sees are not always shown in real time, and we don't always see every little thing that happens.

Things are not always explained to us upfront completely devoid of ambiguity and kept up to date down to the second. Sometimes things aren't meant to be fully understood at the time they happen, and things that were mysterious are revealed later on.

It's really not all that unusual of a thing to do. Some of the most well known stories have utilized this to great effect. Has anyone seen Star Wars? Harry Potter? Lord of the Rings? This is basic stuff.

Now if it were the last chapter of the manga, loose ends were not tied up, and nothing alluded to any future continuation of the story, that's when we have a problem.

To anyone who adores that humor as much as I do where you liken real things to aspects of MMORPGs, there'sxa subreddit for it. r/outside

Omg those executive people are such pieces of shit 🤮

No wonder so many people kill themselves in Japan. I know this is fiction but authors draw from real experiences.

Personally I'm pretty sure he likes girls. As far as I know, this has never been included in the story as a conscious thought of his, but it's probably there under the surface if he's smart.

As a guy myself, if I wanted a career in women's fashion I would be very paranoid about potentially doing anything that could be interpreted as perverted. I might be too afraid to even flirt, at least until I'm out of school.

Famous people REALLY need to watch their step nowadays, because old stuff they did that was shady can fuck up their fame. It's one thing when it happens with someone who's already well established, because they can cut their losses and just step out of the limelight. Won't be respected anymore but they're still rich

Like the rapper drake's reputation is probably cooked at this point, and I think that's what he's gonna do. I've heard he's got his houses up for sale, so he'll probably just go to another country where he won't be recognized.

If even the most mild version of that type of thing happened to Saotome while he's still in school, he probably wouldn't recover. There's just too much attention on him. We all know the guy's nothing like that, but remember, accusations don't have to be true.

And he has already had fingers pointed at him many times. When someone gets accused there may be people who don't believe it, but that doesn't mean they're gonna stand up for them. It's very risky.

I forgot what a scimitar's defining qualities are. Or maybe I never knew 🤔

I think I remember the ones I've seen called that in video games all have curved blades but idk if that's a requirement

What the heck?? The orc seems like he's super loyal, but he lets the guy walk right past him? It'd be one thing if Siris jumped on him first and Rifen got past him while he was fighting her, that would just be getting outdone, but he let it happen 🤔

I have a guess, but I don't really appreciate it when other people make predictions in comment sections. I know it's fun to brainstorm and speculate, but if they guess correctly, that's still a spoiler.

How did you get negative 974 points?? It seems like we should have to cause some kinda trouble to get like that, but you're not being mean 🤔 You're being helpful

Ahhh yeah m8, "First They Came." 🤌

That's some of the healthiest shit ever written. I've been corresponding stuff in other languages across a lot of cultures too.

Tyranny 101. Easiest targets first. Whoever's so unpopular that everyone's afraid to get roped in with them. When even the sympathizers won't step into the light. Most of the other people you're eventually also gonna kill will be glad to see them die. It'll earn you supporters and keep you in power.

To clear up a common misconception, sympathizers are not allies or supporters. It doesn't mean they agree or approve or forgive. They just have the humanity to know that it's tragedy itself that should be more upsetting than anything.

Once they're wiped out, next most unpopular group, and so on. Eventually even some of your own supporters will start thinking "This isn't really where I thought we headed at the beginning. Those first few groups were dangerous, and the next few were shady, but at this point we're killing people just for being weird."

But by the time they figure out it was never about protection, and pure hatred from the start everyone's seen enough to know it's too late. Your targets don't have the numbers to fight back, and all your supporters think they're the only one who's not a zealot anymore.

They're all too afraid of each other to say anything, so their only practical option is to blend in and carry on. Killing people who don't deserve it will tear them up inside, but they know if they don't, they and their loved ones will die instead.

The ethical thing to do would to turn on the tyrant anyway, but ask a dead person if being righteous helps them sleep at night. That silence is your answer. .

The butterfly effect is a BFD. "First They Came" is probably doing as much good as religion does harm.

Yup, that's the protocol when someone's ahead of their time. Not necessarily insane anymore, because at least in my country some people have started embracing words like insane and crazy. But it's always some form of instability. Always considered to be something wrong with them.

So true. The training camp thing made me so happy, because iirc we hadn't seen her since the time Nagatoro was sick even though he had visited more.

I was starting to think she was gonna be one of those likeable characters you just inexplicably never see again even though the plot is set up in a way that there's no reason you wouldn't.

It would've been surprisingly negligent for such a good manga, because it doesn't take much effort to avoid. I've noticed manga/anime fans tend to be impressively chill about plausibility, compared to other forms of media.

People who are more into films tend to be so critical it makes me wanna slap 'em and be like "Just be entertained, ya miserable dick!"

Anime/manga stories can be set in a 1st world country in a two story house with only 2 school age siblings in it. All the author's gotta do is say the parent(s) work overseas and we're like "Okay, so they're not important. Moving on 🤙"
