Knights and samurai are just mercenaries who work exclusively for aristocracy and who's code put obedience before everything else. Say slaughter a orphanage of small children or whatever. 

Why give the evil boss forewarning of the attack? MC seem to hate the element of surprise.

Why is MC using just fists, to save wear and tear on MC's sword? That's usually not a issue in these things.

They absolutely could not have been friends if they met under different circumstances. MC has morals, boss villain does not.

"Legitimacy" is really irrelevant when it comes to kings and emperors. If you hold power long enough, you're "legitimate". Like all kings and emperors originally started out as warlords who conquered and forced people to obey them with threat of violence while pushing propaganda and forbidding words contrary to the propaganda that somehow they were born better people more deserving to rule.

You go far back enough, no one was ever "legitimate".

Rubia found Skel buried in the ground out in some forest in a random isolated grave. I can't remember if there was a gravestone, I think a unmarked one. Rubie was trying to do necromancy to bring Skel to life to protect xirself against the people hunting xir. Must have been near some city, like on foot level of close. This is chapter 1 material

Rubia is the yellow haired thief? Encountered in a cave/dungeon with some other party members xe was planning on betraying, I think they were going to betray each other even. Hated all humans at the time.

I have said this was VR many times. Like so much clearly says that, especially those admins deleting characters even from history. I don't know about the particulars though, your guess is as good as any other.

If anyone was a real person connected to the VR and not AI, it would be Skel. That would make sense as to why no one else remembers the resets, at least at first, but Skel remembers everything. Some of the enemies might also be players and remembering from one reset to anther even if they don't directly control those resets.

I liked that it wasn't some after image but a actual different body.

Not at all, There has been a consistent pattern of a teen joining the group with a power or getting a power/means of contributing to combat. Even the fat person with the obsession and misunderstandings about lewd jokes regarding the golden ball, has the power to use the mano-machines way better than anyone else, especially for combat purposes. If she joins the group, it's almost certain xe will get some kind of power. And with that bit regarding liking vampires and thinking glasses was a vampire, it seems like xe will join the group eventually. It took Fatty awhile so it will probably take her awhile to join as well.

The power will probably be a singing power.

I liked this chapter, but I'm really sick of the combat. 

Could be a translation issue. MC saying xe is turning into a ghost like spirit, not the kind of being that can be summoned.  None of the summoned beings look like or seem to think like, humans.

And if summoning was raising the souls of the dead to enslave them to your will, AKA ghosts, OMG that would be a dark turn in the world building.
