MC could have just said, "stop the attack and I'll give you money", MC puts so much money into protecting the village, if MC just gave the money to Yamamoto' (the enemy) then that would solve it for both of them.

I don't think the story really said. Presumably sent back to be a spy. But it seems like MC basically killed her, mindless body that needs to be manually controlled. Which would make it a bad spy really.
