Narrow environment restricts the use of melee weapons much more than it would firearms. Narrow environment wouldn't even really restrict firearms at all? You just put the firearm in front of you and shoot.

Rather boring to choose to fight monsters in VR when you do that plenty in RL Also silly that the VR set just somehow knows the stats and automatically uses them.

I don't think tanks of fuel in containers will blow up just because you shot in their vicinity and with them shooting in a direction away from the oil reserve there would be no chance of anything getting hit.

Besides, what's the point of even standing there if they can't shoot a weapon and aren't helping put up the shield. Not like they are MC and can melee them.

What was Douglas's big idea other than remove catalyst? They could and probably should do both, kill the wicked sorcerer and remove the catalyst, But this makes it sound mutually exclusive.

Is that really Fanny's father anyway? Seems like just someone who ran around stealing and abusing babies and naming them all "Fanny". Even if they did happen to be genetically related, which we have no reason to think is the case, still not really father and daughter.

I keep forgetting to comment somewhere about how convenient these curses are. Just curse yourself into the shape of your prime self and even if you still somehow eventually die of old age despite a young body, at least you'll have a young body till then.
