The living Geomon (who's name sounds like a pokemon, and not just because of the "mon") doesn't need water for 4 days?

Nothing to do with you?!? If they lose, who's potentially going to become ingredients again, if you don't care about their lives!

Why didn't Arc teleport to the city part way, even if Arc hadn't been in the city before, they were part way closer.

I guess, if you call that retiring, and if it's enough to pay those taxes. What when es gets really old and needs to completely retire. as in no work at all.

How do you even retire in this world? Don't insane taxes force you to keep diving to pay said taxes? I suppose Rotmiller has a bunch of saved up money. but it doesn't seem like Rotmiller is strong enough to have gotten enough money to survive without having to go down again till es dies of old age. Rotmiller doesn't seem that old for that matter.

Maybe a bribe not a blackmail with the second. And even with the first, what "blackmail"? Do you you even know what the word "blackmail" means?

How is that a joke? How is it relevant to this chapter?

I have seen chapters with little content and/or few pages. IMO this chapter has more than sufficient content and pages.

Back to the system being sassy, why does it seem to reveal in making quests mandatory. What is even the point. What does it even mean for a quest to be "mandatory" Wait maybe I remember, can't go back if on a quest and mandatory means you can't say no, perhaps

This has to be the divine physician because system recognized them as such,, but the whole thing still stinks, especially that disciple and the incident with getting the bandit leader spared but leaving everyone else to die.

Well anyway, this divine physician wants to save lots of lives, kinda hard to do so when getting their help is so hard. Imagine if a regular person needed your help.

As I recall they have not once or at least barely mentioned any such lofty goals, even with that whole "destroy the dungeon and you destroy the town centered around the dungeon" thing. I do recall them saying that pushing & challenge yourself go deeper and defeat dungeons is the point of adventuring parties, Like spirit of adventuring or what not.

Even here in this chapter, they don't argue back against Skull Mask, it was Skull mask that brings this devils advocate argument up even, they don't confirm or deny or even interact with it, (as far as I know it could be news to them) they just essentially say "We don't care, we're doing i,t, get out of our way or die".

Meh, I don't really want to see them succeed in conquering this dungeon. The city will be harmed the sapient monsters will be harmed. Why are they doing this again other than wealth and glory?

If the magic is dispelled, I would think the monster would die. She's bringing them back as undead, right? So dispelling the undead magic leaves you with a dead monster, but how is it only the control is being lost?

You mean physically walking/running? I doubt that woman mage walks or runs faster or longer.

What chapter did it say Rotmiller retired in? Was it too dramatic with the death of that mage why es retired?

Doesn't have to keep up with them, just guide them.

Two potential reasons the monster might be carrying a corpse that "happened" to drop in the middle of the match.

The monster was being controlled by someone to lure them...
1. ...to a trap
2. ...from the city leaving it less defended.

They really need to be more curious and investigative about it
