Yes I know, I even mentioned it earlier. Like the idea of having to eat everything offered or there is offense found. Which fits with em explicitly not eating everything and eating just a bit.

But Galacy (the other poster I've been exchanging with) claimed that this is the case with all cultures, anyone anywhere would be super angry if you suggested their food was a bit simpler than expected and didn't clean your plate with eating.

Personally I feel a modern enlightened person like MC should be above such absurdity. Like harm and kill children and MC will get angry but say the food isn't as complex as expected and you will really get MC's wraith! Or MC could have simply chosen to not perceive the words as insulting. MC isn't a house wife spending all day cleaning and cooking for the family and it wasn't even really even a criticism. Slightly less complex than very high expectations (when specifically asked for their opinion!) is such a nothing-burger. It actively irritates me when even some minor subplot revolves around this stupidity.

The solution would be to get the traits first and then pay. If they got enough power to hand over traits they got enough power to prevent people from skipping out on paying.

Not really though. Why would a lumber thief be planting trees in a forest to steal wood? That's alot of work for a thief for dubious profit. If I heard someone talking about hiding trees in a forest, even if I had never heard that expression, I would not think "wood thief"

I prefer MC who have the motivation of wanting to help people. Not some vague idea of being heroic, but genuinely caring about other people. The motivation of doing the right thing being somehow related to preserving anime is ... ugh... not good.

Why not leave the loot hidden around the corner before getting involved so it can't be stolen.

I'm guessing at first MC just got in the normal way and the director latter learned of MC. I say "guess" but no other explanation fits and it logically makes sense.

Showing too much skin in those videos, even though the helmet blocks seeing the hair and eyes you can still see the chin and hands, which can tell a fair amount. I guess MC doesn't care about getting revealed
