Do you fail to notice your hypocrisy?

OK, almost absolutely disgusting, just disgusting.

Well Erzebet said xhe would be on future Seol's side, but in large part because future Seol clearly needed to hear that. Ezeb does not have such a twisted mind and probably is against all this, or at least a possibility.

"actively ignored him"

The comic does not properly give a time frame for how long everything took. Like how long did MC look for Seol before turning to that "last resort"? We don't know, but it couldn't have been longer than "several years" because that's how long Seol was being chased for. "Several times", isn't actually that many times all things considering. If you are being actively hunted by hunters, it is not so easy to seek someone out and meet up with them, especially without something prearranged or some means of communication. Several years of not meeting MC does not justify the conclusion of "actively ignoring" when you are on the run. Especially if MC is in a city or moving around searching for Seol thus harder to find emself.

MC could have figured even on the possibility of Seol seeking em out. Not certainty, but it was a obvious possibility. No "hindsight" needed. Then using that possibility position yourself in a way so that Seol can approach you without anyone else around and in a place and some discrete advertisement of position that only Seol would likely notice. MC did not try any of this.

Instead MC tried something stupid. Story said "last resort" but as established it wasn't actually "last resort", (other things that could have been tried as well, like finding a allie who can help track)

Consider how was this suppose to go? If Seol hadn't overheard MC in the city with worst timing ever, Seol would still see MC in the party hunting Seol. And once that hunting party had found Seol, (if they found Seol, why would they have better success?) then what? Turn on them, simultaneously trying to convince Seol on xir side? While having to fight a group theoretically strong enough to kill Seol? Also obviously they'd be suspicious of you the whole time, it would be difficult to earn their trust in order to properly betray them. This was a dumbass plan.

I don't see MC exploring as to whether this person or that person is willing to follow in that quest or anything. Just always seems to say no to all new recruits, no matter what, without consideration. At least the ones that ask MC.

Look at the chapter list, the chapters that have been views will likely be listed in a different color than the ones that have not been viewed yet.

Again, what exactly was the third misfortune/quest for it to be a failure?

Anyway, MC should have just killed the fucker right then and there giving the logic reason it was a emotion response to some asshole declaring your daughter is a enemy of the world. Hell, it's still not too late, I don't see killing em actually convincing anyone he's right.

What exactly was the third quest? I thought it was to prevent Ezeb from being killed, and Ezeb didn't die and even was sort of saved?

Seol sought out parent for a allie. MC sought out Seol to be xir allie.

Almost the entire world knew Seol was in need of allies, even if Seol did or did not like a particular allie, it wasn't like there was much options.

Hell those people hunting Seol, if MC didn't join them, the first thing they might do to try and find Seol is to monitor MC, you know like what police etc. do.

Except for being her only living parent and possibly only allie. What reason would MC have for thinking she had other allies or that she wouldn't possibly trust em?

MC should have realized Seol ah would reach out to em, but that's pretty hard if you are surrounded by killers who want to kill Seol ah, even without the horrible timing eves dropping.

How could MC possibly know she was standing right there with the worst possible timing....

How ever it works in reality is overridden by how ever the author says it works, and everything in the area is red.

Besides hair obviously can change color after absorbing stuff directly or through diet (only very light colored hair) but that only lasts till the stuff being absorbed stops and the hair grows out. So if you left the area of influence it would eventually stop being a influence, but again author overrides reality. Maybe this red stuff soaks even into the genes or bones or something

Using the word "league", no one will know what you mean. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/League_(unit) Apparently the definition uselessly various a shit ton (trade marking "shit ton")

I wonder if the use of "league" came from the author or translator. Similar question for calling the captured devil a "hostage", it probably is not a "hostage". I doubt they will tell the devils to back off or the captured devil will be killed or something.

Yes learning human society and gaining allies were part of it, but a smaller part. The main thing was indeed training and schooling, it was explicitly said at multiple points. Helmut fears being consumed by the dark seed, and seeks to learn ways to control it. This is why any socializing Helmet has done is despite himself for the most part. Helmet has been focusing on training and learning to control the dark seed better because that is the main objective.

Since exactly what is required for that objective is not entirely known, Helmut focuses on the schooling and training in general hoping some of it will help.

Well, this was a being that strongly believed in following instinct and getting stronger. I suppose keeping a sense of self was never important.
