Uhg the small scale stuff in this was fantastic but the author can't make a convincing large scale battle.

Pacing wise this is definitely slower than average. It's not insanely slow but definitely below the bell curve. But I think it's a good fit and if this story was told in a fast setting it wouldn't make any sense.

Idk I've always liked these types of stories and idk how you'd get this far and think "hey this is kinda slow." Like yeah, has been for 100 chapters already

Why is Taurus still alive?

Sometimes a story that's not very deep will suddently go all in and have like huge explanations of backstory for a villian that isn't that interesting and way too late for us to care. Like I like a well filled out villian but I like to learn about them before the fight, not while they're on their deathbed.

I think this story is supposed to be an introspective on the human condition so building up the antagonists is important. In fact I've found all the characters pretty interesting except for the purple haired bitch who was kind of nothing more than a plot point cause it came so out of left field that her fetish was so specifically designed to hurt the MC.

Running away isn't wrong when you're running from a bad person.

So just going to leave his family out there on their own where they're easy to kidnap or otherwise threaten to get to Akira. Cool.

It's hard to flood most places because if there was water to flood it with it would already be flooded. Now fire is a lot easier to spread, and the beast palace "gourd" is basically one firebomb dropped off the cliff from being turned into a giant ass oven.
