Vice is by far the best. Agree gps is a good dude but with minor bad intentions and a horrible hand as heagi said. If she somehow ends up with Arachne I might chuck a building at the author.

I think he's overcompensating for the previous actions. He'll probably find a better balance later but this one gets a pass maybe.

The vice is the only one without ulterior motives for his love. The downside on his part is that has almost zero finesse when it comes to romance....

We don't really have any active adversaries currently. At best we have mml(not saying he is an adversary), and that's nice, but a story and it's characters deepen with conflict.

I don't know if this will be the same but, in order to keep novel readers on their toes I've seen manga/webtoons switch the proceeds of different scenarios. For example, in scenario b you fight the enemies from scenario c and get it's rewards instead.

I'm not completely sure but I'm pretty sure it's a "I come in peace" thing. Similar to how swords were stored in times of war versus peaceful/welcoming talks.

I think it's a test for competency not personality. Of course he will have a better personality but an incompetent saint is worse off being king than a competent devil.

He is but it could be npc possession. This could also explain MC's regression a bit. Let's say he got possessed here, some outside force that doesn't want this in particular guy or NPCs in general to do this, then that individual or faction finds a champion. Sends him back in time before the possession, and hope that the butterfly effect will take of it at that point.

I think it would be easier to call it "peak of humanity". Especially since he is now entering the territory of the paranormal. On top of all that and him having his sword skills nerfed till now, he was also learning new techniques. He becoming more of a jack of all trades than a master of one at this point.

If the authority was anything other than a lich phylactery I would disagree. But you don't give an MC a version of immortality unless you expect them to use it at some point.
