Like that one of them that was trapped in the Nether Realm and Nie Li and it were playing a mutual game of chicken to see which could use/kill the other first before it got contracted into becoming the Demon Spirit for one of his friends. It'd even fit with how he treats the weak ones and having them combine and the like while the ones that start off much higher on the totem pole are also rarer and smart enough to generally not be caught.
Though we have to remember moral for Xianxia isn't a high bar to clear. The drugs alone would make our heads spin if we stopped and started thinking too much about it.

So, Gabriel is more than meets the eye (which explains why she's not as stupid as the rest of the holy pigeons). On top of that, it's looking more and more like MC had several admins among his chat watching him clear the game the first time. Which means he may have a lot more support than we initially realized... as well as having to deal with all the problems that comes from having friends in high places who have other folks high up putting pressure on them.

We can all rest easy now knowing that he's going to get himself absolutely clowned on in some manner he really should have been able to deal with but was being too stupid/arrogant to catch! That was close, we almost had some real tension here!
Borrow from a family member and admit weakness? Not a chance! You have to make them submit as a show of force to cement that you're Badass McGee, Rule of the BigShot family that is totally irrelevant the second a higher tier cultivator sneezes in your general direction!
Demon spirits are basically humans borrowing those powers and performing controlled partial transformations.
Demons are... well.. already the demons. They wouldn't be doing a partial transformation into another Demon (or themselves) because they're already the source of their own powers. Like even if a Dragon could borrow power from a serpent or whatever, why would it when it's already a dragon, ya know?
Meanwhile Cronos seems to be sitting there confused that the guy isn't trying to commit suicide by MC.
He knows he's about to get a show so he's well prepared for it. As expected of a good leader!
Absolutely loving it.

So the nepo baby with power handed to him is trying to abuse his status to get info on things well beyond his level from a guy he's realized has actually cleared things from scratch and is advancing past him. Then when he gets the door slammed in his face because he has nothing Kouseke cares about, he resorts to trying threats (meaningless) and then PR (equally meaningless, but some amount is useful to ensure people don't waste Kouseke's time trying stupid stuff).
We've already seen what happens when Mitsuki and Kouhi get annoyed, which is probably why they're not at the meeting or dude would already be dead. They've also already shown what a real tower can do for defenses and a bit of the offense side. Hmm... maybe this time Kouseke will find a way to let a couple of the Goddesses to pop down for a little while in a form no one can try and deny so that idiots can't just bring along clergy in some attempt to challenge him.
So since he's recruiting all the "sad backstory" villains who haven't actually done anything yet and offing the ones who already stained their hands, he ends up with an all (or mostly) female cast if the comic he read was more female focused and as such had women in most of the important positions.
Of course, the real world reason is because it's easier to focus on one gender than it is to balance it out more evenly (even in non-harem genres, you'll tend to find mostly males or mostly females as far as fleshed out characters that remain relevant throughout the entire work with a token few of the other gender. An actually varied and balanced cast remaining relevant is an extreme rarity), so that's what you tend to see the most of.
