If Tadashi's father knocking up his affair partner was how Tadashi's mom found out, and decided to divorce him, then since (according to grandma) it happened around the time Tadashi was in 4th grade, he'd be at least 8-10 years older than his half sibling. The age gap could only be 3-4 years for them to be in highschool together.

Also Tadashi has seen his father's face, Tadashi would have reacted in some way if Tsubaki's father looked familiar the first time they met

Also also In the event That Tsubaki's dad was also Tadashi's dad, his affair has already been discovered, there would be no reason for him (or anyone else who knew I.E. Tadashi's mom or Tsubaki's mom) to not be upfront about Tsubaki and Tadashi's relation

without some extremely convoluted mental gymnastics there is no way for the author to make them half siblings at this part of the story. Its probably not impossible, but itd have to be really stupid

The point isn't to break them up, its so that Tadashi doesn't have any "distractions" specifically at school. From what it seems she might even support their relationship, she just doesn't want their blossoming love to come at the cost of Tadashi's scholarship, which requires him to maintain a virtually perfect academic record. So her solution is to completely remove Tsubaki from the environment to get Tadashi's education "back on track".
