The quest was about getting revenge on the one who killed him, who was on 10th floor. MC and spirit learned before killing the murderer that he was threatened by people within the guide of sin, and the weapon he used was also given by them. They asked who would order such a thing, and it was revealed it was some woman who was really close to spirit. MC then received a chained quest to kill that woman, and then back from a few previous chapters, he added that he must kill the fire king, too (forgot the reason).

Would've been better if the story is he didn't copy any of the Sage's skills, but rather used the monsters' abilities creatively. I'm sure later on, there would be bullshit skills that he actually "copied" for a certain scenario.

Hell, I'd be fine with both the Sage and Yggdrasil residing in his eyes, but at least don't make it so that the Sage can control the mc's appraise. I mean, let the man grow up. Nothing changed about him except his prowess, still naive and following orders from someone.
