While it's true that the creator would make their own country look better with writing (this is by no means uncommon in manga, manhwa especially (Japanese are always the villains) and manhua).
However, it really is an on sight relationship over in east Asia. The Japanese just aren't liked due to their previous colonization of the surrounding land and as such, those now independent do not like the Japanese.
Grand parents and parents refuse for their kids to have relations with them even as friends and don't even think about eloping with one.
Naturally not everyone is like this but it happens enough that you can generalise the situation as such.

Why agree to the foolhardy of jumping directly into hell to fight the source of monsters.
Even the strongest of parties have hardly been capable of outright defeating anything and everything otherwise this would have been done already no?
Although in a story like this, politics is probably the reason for anything not progressing as planned.

Because going into hell is a problem in of it's self. Monsters are a necessary evil because without them, the only monsters left are the adventurers, of which are absurdly stronger than the average civilian and their powers and skills which don't discriminate politician from criminal.
