The writing so far has had us formulate the plan alongside Najin, to suddenly do so much off screen only to introduce it in some flimsy flashback of "oh I told him this, this and this back then", it doesn't make sense for it to be written that way. (I also don't really know if this counts as a stretch or not but given the art expressions of the situation you would think that all emotions felt are genuine but since all the thoughts are actually said out loud in the chapter, specifically visible for everyone to notice, it's more plausible that it is a scheme of someone here rather than emotional decision making).
Besides that, your theory craft relies on all parties being emotional coherent and available. Dokkaebi is nearby we saw that, dokkaebi also inherently doesn't care about anyone other than the Kamel (the dragon), Najin being kept alive is just means to an end who has conveniently shown himself in an unexpected "betrayal".
While I want to entertain the idea of this being a carefully constructed plan between Najin and Kamel, it feels weird for it to all be off screened.
