I honestly wanted her to be able to call forth the beast king. We already know she is the reincarnation of the secret original Freley (since the brother inherited nobility through her connection to the king).

I honestly feel the same way. Yuri is beautiful, comes from a good family, AND showed interest in him when she thought he was a broke joke.
Ellie on the other hand showed interest knowing he was a half a step away from being a trillionaire.

I mean... It is a bit racist... Any person who accumulates wealth on their own knows to cut costs ANYWHERE possible. It's a rich thing, not just asian.

As a side note, I had a friend who was a multi-millionaire and he'd still try to shove off group payment (like say he forgot his wallet) or would deliberately order cheap shit then ask for a separate check.

If we say "bad" or "evil" those are still subjective words. To a child, evil could be someone took their own toy back but because they weren't done with it yet, that person has now subjectively been labeled bad.

I wasn't questioning the Maou being amoral. I was just pointing out that there are limitations given via contract. Not that it would necessarily stop her from doing evil stuff.

Thats not true. Every power has a contract. Maybe hers is her life upon fulfillment. Just like how the boy healing his sister has to make a pact to never hurt someone. They are told the pact before they receive the power. So whatever she had to sacrifice, she agreed.

backstory = he always wanted to used magic to fight instead of just swords and bows. sorcerers pillaged his village, leaving him with 1 eye, arm, and leg. He was saved and brought to a new village. He found kids in some sorcerers abandoned hut surrounded by beasts, saved them, and took over the hut. The he spent his life secluded learning magic.

It's plenty cold. She critiques him all the time, makes it clear she is doing stuff for his staff, and dropped sex down to once a night. She tried limiting further, but he wasn't having it. She hosts the parties for the house name, as obligation, as well as interacts "lovingly" in front of the attendants in "proof of the divorce not being her fault". It just so happens that most of their time, she is out in the eyes of others.

it explained how recently she was feeling conflicted. From the cozy house to the ideal honest crowd in the port city. However, she wants her freedom.

When she was with the prince, she was always r@ped and cheated on, then blamed for infertility (which was her husbands fault). In her second life, the empress sent someone to kill her husband and child, just to marry her off to some old man. In her third life, she learned her fiance was cheating on her.

If she doesn't uphold the betrothal, her family name gets sullied. If she marries him and he cheats, the empress who forced this marriage, can't argue the divorce. As a divorcee, she no longer has to be tied down to a man. At least to the empress' match.

In society, you have to listen to the masses. If something is well received, it's good. If it is ESTIMATED to be well received, it was likely a paid promotion. This has always been the case. In fact, deals are often made to unfairly critique movies, shows, games, and fashion. If you don't belong to the umbrella corps, you get poor evals. If you belong to them, they get overevaluations.

Although they don't get monetary assets (by law) from the companies, being banned from scoops is essentially cutting livelihood, which is what they do. This is how SunWukong got such a bad evaluation which is an example of how the western world attempted to shut down a new game developer not part of their "inner circle".

Catpool explained it perfectly.

"She wants him to cheat but she wants people to know that she's doing all her duties as his wife so when their divorce eventually comes up, the man will be blamed solely for it."

Adultery was explained to be normal and wouldn't hurt his prestige. But if you think about how she wants him to cheat, it likely isn't viewed in the same way for promiscuous women.

if you believe that, you aren't immersing yourself.

If you had a gun and a bunch of zombies rushed you, would you not ammo dump on them?
