I was saying the Clone Brain is plotting revenge on Meena
And the Real Brain is Meena and was always planning to use Yamato Body
The Real Director's Brain is Still inside Meena in Heaven
Meaning that the Fake Director inside Manaka might want to stop The Director to put her Brain inside Yamato to Stop Meena's Scheme
TOKIO & KONA was with the Clone Yamato
The President inside Manaka Body was not the real Brain President but a clone with the Maru
The Contingency she had was to Kill the Clone to be sure that the Real President inside Menaa wouldn't be able to Have her Brain Transfert into Maru
And After Finding Out the Truth about The Mother Robot Conspiracy and the monsters she decided to not transfert Her Brain inside Maru because he will also become a monster eventually
I am pretty sure in the End both of them will live
Kona foresight saw that Maru's Power Could Cure The Children and Kill The Cocoons Monster Egg inside their body before they deteriorate and Manifest the sickness and become Monster
Actually I don't even recall that she even killed anyone up till now
And the Raw 80 is already out as well
Spoiler
MC mother is in a Cocoon to not transform into monster and slow down the disease
MC's father went to find a cure to the disease, it's very likely that it's him who gave it to MC before the beginning of the Series
Most of the Monsters that MC didn't kill and was killed by others are still alive as only MC can kill them
We learn that the real Brain of The Antagonist ( The Crazy Old Woman) is inside the Evil Robot who created the monsters inside the Facility
They Speculate that The Robot orchestrates as well the Apocalypse and bring the Meteor and finds the monsters cells inside even though some aliens sells already existed in earth from other meteors that fell in the past
Speculation Theory :
It is possible that MC can kill the monsters's egg inside the body before the body start to manifest the disease but it is very unlikely
Meaning MC will have to die and kill himself at the end of the series and kill all the monsters
Chapter 61
( Check Chapter Extra 22.1 as reference)
Elof, Waka, Shilulu and trained MC and sealed his power inside of him to prepared him for this day
Chapter 62 - 63
Because The Mana will already possessed FMC when she was a child
The conclusion of Modulo on March 9, 2026, leaves several openings for a full-scale serialization:
Unresolved Plot Threads: Modulo intentionally left mysteries, such as the disappearance of Yuka and Tsurugi’s father and the fallout of the ritual to potentially eliminate cursed energy.
The "GT" vs. Official Route: Creator Gege Akutami described Modulo as a "Jujutsu Kaisen GT" route—an exploration of one potential future that doesn't strictly lock the main series' narrative, allowing for a different "official" long-term sequel later.
Expanding the Scope: By establishing that the "cycle of curses" is now a global issue involving international treaties and alien races, the world is now large enough to support a long-running narrative beyond a three-volume short story.
Creator Burnout: The intense weekly or monthly schedule is unsustainable long-term, leading to health issues and a preference for finishing, taking breaks, or moving to new projects.
Lack of Source Material: Anime adaptations often catch up to the manga quickly, and if the manga is not producing new chapters rapidly, a sequel cannot be produced.
4. Exceptions and Nuances
While many series feel like they are ending, the industry is actually seeing a rise in revivals of older, dormant series (e.g., Black Butler, Blue Exorcist) due to nostalgia and the high brand recognition of these properties. Furthermore, the rise of digital publishing has made shorter, more niche series more viable than in the past.
Stable Magazine Environment: Previously, magazines like Weekly Shonen Jump needed to keep hits running indefinitely to ensure financial stability. Today, with a more diverse and stable catalog of hits, there is less pressure to extend popular series.
High Risk of Failure: Sequels often struggle to recapture the magic of the original, with many facing poor sales or negative fan reception, making them risky investments.
"Tentpole" Dependence: The industry historically relied on a few massive, long-running hits to sell magazines. The ending of the "Big Three" era created a gap, but the focus has shifted toward producing new hits rather than only relying on old ones.
Here are the primary reasons for this trend, based on current industry shifts:
1. Shift Toward Shorter, Complete Stories
Quality over Quantity: Newer hits like Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen are concluding within 200-300 chapters, far shorter than the 700+ chapter runs of Naruto or Bleach.
Intentional Endings: Authors are increasingly prioritizing finishing their stories as intended rather than dragging them out, avoiding the "stretched" feel of older, long-running series.
Reduced Need for "Fillers": Shorter, focused stories allow for better pacing and avoid the need for filler arcs that were common in older, long-running shonen.
Similarities in Sequel Strategy
The "Gaiden" Phase: Just as Naruto had the Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring (a short 10-chapter spinoff) before Boruto fully launched, Jujutsu Kaisen utilized Modulo as a concise, 25-chapter story (September 2025 – March 2026) to test new concepts.
Generational Focus: Both sequels shift the focus to descendants. Modulo follows Tsurugi and Yuka Okkotsu, the grandchildren of Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin, set 68 years after the original series.
Introduction of Aliens: A major pivot in both series is the introduction of extraterrestrial threats—the Otsutsuki in Naruto and the Simurians in JJK—to escalate power levels beyond traditional ninjutsu or jujutsu.
The "Legacy" Mentor: Just as an adult Naruto remained a pillar of the world in early Boruto, a long-lived Yuji Itadori appears in Modulo, having stopped aging due to consuming the Death Paintings, serving as a bridge between the eras.
