This manga takes the logic of:
"the stakes are raised!"
"how?"
"because I say so!"
and it's like a pretend game to add tension where it doesn't exist.

Seeing how Fairy Tail last huge arc was literally humans beating dragons, dot dot dot...

It is hilarious how much higher the standards for manhwa are.

What's that?
You have a good plot with a strong intrigue and a well executed hook, well written and strong characters that make you feel some strong emotions towards them (not necessarily positive) and amazing art to boot? OH AND IT UPDATES ONCE PER WEEK INSTEAD OF ONCE PER MONTH!?
If manga -> S tier.
If manhwa -> B tier; dunno, maybe got axed

Interesting premise -> but the exact same stupid and exceedingly boring anime tropes are used and abused in place of any real comedy.

Frankly, someone should make a bingo card for these stupid tropes and if you hit BINGO, then the manga should be axed the immediate PANEL the moment you can call bingo.

Let's see, chapter 2 in aaaaaaaand we've got:
1) Mr. Main Character pervs on random girls who are strangers
2) Mr. Main Character likes the idea of a harem
3) Mr. Main Character is blind to the one girl next to him
4) The one girl next to Mr. Main Character likes him but due to stupid reasons, he will never realize it
5) The one girl next to Mr. Main Character will never admit her feelings
6) The one girl next to Mr. Main Character will have a look of disapproval when he looks at other women, again, not noticed by him
7) The one girl next to Mr. Main Character will do *action* (pinch in this case) when he interacts with another woman
8) The one girl next to Mr. Main Character endangers herself time and time again to get rescued
9) The one girl next to Mr. Main Character is straight up the Damsel In Distress and doesn't change how she acts overall (hasn't happened yet, but take a wild guess, is it gonna happen?)
10) The one girl next to Mr. Main Character sticks to him because of reasons
11) Mr. Main Character accidentally interacts with the one girl next to him when she is in the bathroom
12) Mr. Main Character is not legally allowed to explain what happened
13) Mr. Main Character is labeled as a perv due to it, which may be true, but not in this specific case/incident
14) The one girl next to Mr. Main Character will be angry with him instead of believing him, despite her feelings
15) Mr. Main Character's overwhelming strength does not equate to respect nor does it represent how responsible he is.
16) The one girl next to Mr. Main Character has been with him through life and death but still treats him like an idiot

Since 1 hasn't happened yet, that's 15 things off the "stupid bingo that should axe a manga" aaaaaaaaaand we're only on chapter 2. Sure, 10 are missing, but Bingo cards are 25 total -> that's 15 out of 25. Ladies and gentlemen, that's freakin' BINGO on most cards!

If you can get past all the issues listed above, and keep in mind they are constantly gonna bother you, then you got a nice 2/10 casual manga. Mr. Main Character is shown to be "supremely overpowered without trying" and the non-existent stakes are raised by... *checks notes* simply pretending they are raised.

It's lazy, it's boring and 2/10 is an appropriate score.
Go read Tsuyokute New Saga instead or something.

I did not expect a torture scene where the dragon's wings, teeth and scales were torn apart.

So like, the dragon got a full heal, great... What about the stuff that was torn off him? Did Mr. Main Character pocket it -> to sell or something? Forget 50 gold; walk into an auction hall with a full set of a dragon's teeth and you'll be a millionaire, no?

tl;dr: it is a trope that happened in an ooooooooold work that was super popular.

So it is copy pasted by every mangaka and their cat and their cat's chew toy with zero consideration. See the literal list of stuff that can be on a bingo card I posted last chapter (that I continued here too).

What old work? I don't even know if I should blame Tenchi Muyo for it -> or go back even further back. I'm not that old so Tenchi Muyo is the earliest example that I know of.

It is, at its heart, a stupid comedy bit where any and all common sense is defied for exaggerated effect. It is the worst possible way to have comedy in your work because it is character ruining to a catastrophic degree.
Frankly, here I am typing up this comment after I typed up my other comment because I'm not even sure if this manga is worth reading if things are this bad only 3 chapters in.

17) Mr. Main Character FINALLY gets to explain himself and despite being a travel companion for a long time and having a decent reputation (or the companion would've left him alone already), he is not believed whatsoever.

Mr. Main Character died and got kicked out of the scenario -> but he has built up his fable and became a constellation - mostly anyway.

Preemptive too long; didn't read: I'mma whine about how slow updates are.

Imagine if we were still getting 3 updates a day. We'd be done by now. The complainers who were like "slow down for the last stretch! give us better quality!" outta eat a knuckle sandwich or two. The quality that this studio puts out isn't known for being amazing. It's "satisfactory" (ie: good enough) and we're here for the story. The art going brrrrrrrrr is a bonus and, again, big moments have satisfactory art.

Now, for the extreme opinion of the day: I would veeeeeeeeery much prefer ALL the works I read to update three times a day with "satisfactory" art.

Besides, if anything, all these delayed updates for getting "better quality" is just proving that this studio isn't gonna suddenly pop up with Berserk level art or anything -> as frankly, I can't tell the difference. It is "good enough" and it was always "good enough." It even had time for relevant memes, see below... sigh, so what has been the point, really?
