i found that bit kind of weird. The Father emperor knew eveyrything that happened in the kingdom, but he mostly used the info to test MC. But hes retired now, maybe this is another test, but that would be a waste.

Honestly this one disappointed me. He never really uses his powers in a major or fantastic way. its usually manipulation schemes or simple tricks. it isn't shown explicitly, but he holds way more power than everyone else or at least no one has challenged him in a way that would force him to use his full power so he's basically a god among men.

For this? yeah but it's pretty much by the book.
