It's kind of funny when you think about it cuz in the typical story for the setting, he would be the main character his brother would be the main villain the story would have started when he got kidnapped and the rest of his backstory would have been in flashback.

It's funny because I'm thinking about it and the only time I've seen it being American that isn't blonde hair and blue eyed, it was a dark-skinned black American with black hair....that still had blue eyes. Was there some blonde hair blue-eyed celebrity somewhere over there that just got incredibly popular at some point in the past and came to represent what Americans...mean to...them... Oh s*** is it Captain America.

yeah but up to this point he has kind of been able to just roll in and immediately inject himself into peoples business, usually because if they were smart they were less cautious due to self assuredness, and when they were not he would outsmart them, this guy is a little of both plus paranoid and immediate shut down his self injection by just not letting him engage and it seemed to have thrown him for a loop.

Oh no yeah if stats are real life things the first thing you should level up is either wisdom or intelligence so that you can more efficiently understand what you need to put other stats into.(Or at least second after strength depending on what level of danger you're currently in)

His one weakness, people who are smart but also deeply paranoid, if it was one or the other he can make it work but when it's both, this is going to take some elbow grease...

I know a lot of the time it happens because wisdom is the stat they use to determine how good you are at using your newly acquired powers and intelligence mostly just increases mana or helps with learning magic, and a lot of the time those series just start off with the character just being good with whatever f****** magic they get so they don't need to put stats into it, and sometimes they just don't bother with it because then the writer might have to make a main character that's not stupid and they don't want to do that cuz that's more work.

It's just weird how often I'll see a series specifically bring up black companies and cruel business practices and then have a main character just go buy slaves the moment they get reincarnated or sent back in time or whatever with very little judgment on the fact that they are owning slaves and doing business with a slave trader, like it's fiction they don't even need to have slavery there at all (not to say writers can't have slavery in their stories just that a lot of these writers don't justify slavery existing in their stories either with quality of writing or proper world building) . I wouldn't even mind if that would happen in more series that are supposed to have moral grays but it just happens so often in these shallow wish fulfillment series that it makes me... kind of concerned, honestly.

They're either massive racists, slaves, sex objects or nearly (or outright) extinct. there seems to be very little inbetween. I guess except for that series about the elf that just likes eating food.
