He certainly won't die an horrific death, or become an antagonist! No siree, no such Fate for our friendly Luka!

If I remember correctly the blood they share is from three or four generations ago so they're like fifth cousins

I'm mad that it still tricked me because I thought they wouldn't use the same method again so I was expecting them to play it straight.

Is the sister who raised him also related to that family because she also has black hair?

I don't mind honestly we got way more progress in murim than we ever did in modern times so I'm glad they're spending some time here. Though I do want to know what happens to his master and his dementia.

I just would have liked if they did anything with that platform other than forget it until it was useful to bring up, and while I never really said they saved him is more so the way that ark ended really just felt like his parents came to pick him up so he had to stop playing and go home.

That's what I mean, it could have been a problem but the series didn't actually use it as one ever so it being the conclusion of that arc just felt weird.

The Problem is that it was a secret but not a problem, he made no effort to resolve that misunderstanding despite having full knowledge of it since the beginning of the series, as if he didn't care, in general for most situations in this series if they aren't actively dealing with the problem they just don't think about it or bring it up. So instead of it being an emotional ending to an actual arc it was more so a loose thread that we figured would get pulled eventually.

I'm just concerned because the last time we had to build up to a big showdown his parents showed up and took him home instead of the fight getting an actual full conclusion. That and going off of previous arcs we're still not going to get a villain that's actually threatening just one that's semi-strong before they lose anyways, just once I want him to start a fight where he just has to leave because he can't win. Or for him to beat the strong guy in a fight but the villains still win anyways because they stalled him long enough, just some stakes is enough for me at this point.

I like how he brought up that no one's refused doing that till now cuz it's wild that no one said no yet.

I think I'd want more fights to be like the prince ark because just watching him fight grunts just sort of feels like bullying at this point, and the beat their asses thing was more sore joke at the fact that the villains never have the upper hand even once by the end of an interaction, they never "lose a fight but win the war" or anything like that they just lose the fight or tie, so they just feel like team rocket to me where they keep talking about how threatening they are but I haven't seen it in anything but flashbacks, they kind of are in a similar situation to the CEO because they just kind of seem incompetent because no matter what they do they always end up on the back foot. Really just makes me realize that it feels aimless because it never feels like it builds to anything because of the villains just don't accomplish anything. Like the big attack on the building felt like a payoff to a buildup but then his parents just rolled up and took him home instead of us actually getting a climax. And this whole Arc is just sort of felt like a side quest because he's overleveled and overpowered and just sort of doing it because he has nothing else to do.

I think this is an execution issue, because they never really make him seem like he cares about most of those things at the moment other than him thinking that he could totally win that fight if he needed to or that he doesn't really want to be bothered by them it never comes across as malice it just comes across as mild annoyance mostly because no one in this series ever has a big enough reaction to anything that happens outside of people reacting to how cool the main character is. And how like on paper they are a threat that he should hate but in practice every single time anyone in this series has ran into them on screen and not in a flashback they beat their asses or scared them off at best as a result they don't come across as threatening, which makes this whole thing feel like a guy that really wants to kill team rocket. Or the fact that the main character doesn't really seem to have much in the way of morals other than his seemingly only philosophy which is make money be chill, so him doing this for moral reasons never seemed right either

And the thing with the company still rubs me the wrong way because it really does feel like he just left and then let his parents torpedo everything as if he was a literal child that was just getting taken advantage of and NOT a grown ass man that was essentially in a quid pro situation, because I cannot emphasize enough how clear it was that he knew the CEO was taking advantage of him and he was also taking advantage of the CEO, he got relatively quick promotions, ample pay, freedom to do most things he wanted as well as limited freedom from consequences, the only time he seem bothered by anybody in that company was the pure blood dude he liked harassing and that one time those guys on the board I think we're trying to have his boss trialed and jailed or something. like they essentially try to frame the boss as villainous and punish him but in effect it just kind of made the main character seem like a callous dick. And the increase in level thing should be negated by the fact that he is theoretically fighting the big bad organization - the problem comes from the fact that basically every time he's fault the big bad organization he's steamrolled them or tied with them at best regardless of training level, as a result the" big bad" organization never seems very big and bad because they basically get curb stomped whenever they encounter the main character they essentially get treated like team rocket. And as a result I'm not really getting much entertainment value anymore because at least when he was at the company they would occasionally toss them at a problem that he had to beat after some difficulty, now though he's just beating everybody up and he just spent like three chapters breaking the arms and legs of a bunch of drug addicts (and drug dealers), like it really feels like all of the events of the story could lead to a good version of this but the execution is just not there so instead it just feels like we have a borderline psychotic super strong mad man just doing whatever the f*** he wants but like, really casually because I can't emphasize enough how little everyone seems to care about anything going on.

I can't really consider that a deep reason because yes, on paper they were bothering him but in practice he ran into them like six times, three of those times were job affiliated and the last time he ran into them they just got their asses completely beat, on top of that basically every time he ran into them they either didn't actually do anything to him, he fought someone to a draw or he killed one(or several) of their members. And while normally for an organization like this doing it "for the sake of good" would be enough, this main character is barely chaotic good at best. I honestly believe most of this specific point would have been solved if they showed the main character actually be deeply bothered by any of this but he seems to mostly not care so long as he gets money, until he suddenly decided this is the only thing he cares about. And the thing about the personnel is less an in universe complaint and more a meta complaint in the sense that this author had this man be fine with this entire company getting completely screwed over and just leaving without wrapping up- without talking to anyone - without concluding anything, and then essentially just has it patched up with everybody off screen so that he can just recruit them for whatever he's doing (except panda who was jailed that he just sort of freed and then turned into his "guy in the chair") as far as resources go I'm pretty sure the only thing he did lose was that shotgun because he can: still get personnel/backup whenever he needs, he still has funds and can have things covered up whenever he needs it, he can still have recon done whenever he needs it, he can still have training from top level experts whenever he needs it, my main problem on this point is that he theoretically should have got freedom in exchange for less resources when he quit the company but then they just immediately revealed that he was the relative of a super uber Rich family so that he could still get all of the things he needed to do anything he needed to do without any difficulty.

She has Schrodinger's panties, as seen in the previous fight she had with saitama, they seem to visually not be there whenever she's regular looking but they clearly appear whenever she's in chibi mode (or they have to be there to avoid nudity.)

I think it's closer to Majin Vegeta, he asked for the power boost but rejected the mind control that comes with it through sheer force of will.

If you've come across this do yourself a favor and don't fucking read it, it's not the darkest thing I've read, but it is certainly going to sit somewhere in the pit of my stomach for the rest of my life. This is 11 chapters of concentrated bad vibe.

But it's not even really funny enough to do that like the comedy is either barely there or very lowkey most of the time, if you were to compare the action to joke ratio to like a Jackie Chan movie this series basically only has jokes going to downtime and they're all pretty low energy.

The series feels aimless but like in a different way than it felt aimless before he quit his job, like he wants to discard this organization nearly just...because? since he doesn't have any actual deep reason to other than that he doesn't like them yet that's been his motivating factor for like 15 chapters. Anytime he wants to do something he can just do it with no real challenge... At least before he worked with people that were stronger than him sometimes so it felt like there were things he couldn't do that only they could. Now it feels like he can basically just do whatever, like previously he needed the help of an entire organization to properly complete essentially this exact mission now he can just do it on his own with seemingly no drawbacks. And he quit his job meaning he should lose access to some of that personnel because they should still have to do stuff separate from him, but if he needs them he can just get any of them. It makes every combat situation to feel pointless because I know he's going to win ,easily, with a little to no negative results.
