I assumed the blue haired elf from last chapter put some sorta tracking magic on the blonde elf and is gonna use that to find Sarante. Though it is kinda weird that the orcs raided a village and killed everyone but tied up the blonde elf, so what you said makes sense too

There was another adaptation that I think got axed pretty quick. This is the second one, hence why it’s called remake. Honestly though I hope it does diverge from the LN, I hated the buster call. Felt it was stupid how MC’s strongest weapon was literally just calling for help. I had some other issues with it that I can’t remember anymore lol

Also as a refresher - previously, the starfish came out of a gate and MC saved a bunch of people. Then he got scouted by Prometheus, and now higher ups are giving the team an impossible mission to fuck with them. The guy they’re kidnapping is a hole closer, someone who can close the holes and should have stopped the starfish from breaking out in the first place
