As long as I sit up from a laying position and stay there for about 10 seconds I'm generally fine. Otherwise, if I go from laying down to standing too quickly, I end up falling, though I tend to catch myself most of the time.

I've stubbed my little toe right on that bar many times just walking through here. Mainly cuz it's on the path between by bedroom downstairs and the stairs to go up. It's why most of the time I am down here I use slippers. Also the concrete floor too.
