On the one hand, man-eater demons do sound like a perfect addition to the Frontera territory. But on the other hand, it really doesn't sound like a fun time for our... lovely MC to constantly have around someone who can read his mind and expose him as a greedy, shameless scumbag, uh, I mean, pragmatic man of action.
