That progressed way too quickly. There was no time to actually process what was happening. And definitely not enough detail to actually make sense.

They keep comparing the Orcs to pigs, but the Orcs shown here ore more ogrish than piggish.

In a place Like that, where greed and corruption run rampant, a selfless act seems “foreign” and “wrong”. People will tend to rationalize such concepts to help themselves understand them. “Maybe he’s doing it for some benefit, or maybe someone’s forcing him to do it.”
So when he shows that he’s genuinely being selfless. It scares them subconsciously activating their fight or flight response. Psychology’s weird like that.

But the plot has shifted so much that theres no guarantee he’ll be an enemy when he wakes up.

well, these are "peaceful" southerners. they have next to no experience in combat. so the gaps and such could've genuinely been mistakes that went unnoticed because these folks don't actually know how to fight a defensive battle.

well, we've had some hints, such as the fact that his sprit path/circuit (forget the specific term in this one) was already open but didn't have any power going through it, meaning he awakened long ago, but had his power taken away/sealed. There's also his sisters eyes darkening when transformed(was one at first but is now two after training) which was shown to be a sign of an Impure child with excessively strong energy(though they aren't blood related so that's a factor too). Then there's his absurdly high pain tolerance and the fact that his father was a former Capitan. We've also go no clue on his mother in the slightest. I'll also bring to attention the katana on his left hip that never been mentioned

my guess is he was born an impure child and/or has been exposed to absurdly strong power from birth if not sooner(thanks to his father and sister(also his mother might be a factor)), and has been subconsciously absorbing/using it to the point he awakened at a very young age. His parents believing it was dangerous for him posses such power at that age, sealed it (probably planning to unseal it when he got older, but we saw how that went) and so his power developed under the seal to give him his absurd pain tolerance, but since its sealed that's all it could do.
the katana is probably his personal soul weapon unlike the sword he got from Nue. so when he eventually unseals his own power he'll use that katana instead of or along with Nues sword.

As for the second point, I guess, technically. Hope they raise it right.

yea but it also taught us, the readers, about anaphylaxis and Asian needle ants. this series is an entomology crash course disguised as a murim novel. its fascinating information, and far more interesting than either a vaguely explained novel or a college lecture.

less stalling, and more education. teaching about real world topics like anaphylaxis and poisonous insects. you'd be surprised how many people don't know the dangers of such things.

this series released here in mid august (probably earlier in other places). So a season break after 7 months isn't unreasonable.

Probably just an assumption. Since shes essentially a clone made from Hels divinity, it’s basically her lifeforce. If she uses it all then death would be the logical conclusion.
