They kept pressuring the MC where did he get the soul gem.
Our weak MC, fell to that pressure and just leave it at 100 gold.
Sure they did not force MC to sell it to them, indirectly.
And it is not 600 gold, but tens of thousand golds.
Even if she screwed up and fail the mission, selling a fully trained human resources as a slave.
Is just... straight bad decision.
Especially given her current poor state, means she's been maltreated.
Feel like a lazy writing to me
Just dodge and escape with it
It started great,
But the author ran out of ideas and content fast.
Some revenge and reasoning become more and more forced and awkward if the reader takes some moment to think about it logically.
For the plot convenience (At later chapters):
1. MC suddenly did something never foreshadowed at reveal moments.
2. Sub-Character personality becomes inconsistent and degraded when it is time for the MC's revenge.
3. The author had some contradictions to what he wrote chapters ago (Plotholes).
4. All ugly events, MC just know about it, many never foreshadowed or hinted. It just suddenly there when MC is bashing the revenge target.
The author is out of ideas, so he starts giving random reasons for MC's revenge.
I'm surprised they are not treated as high threat by the adventurer guilds nor by the army.
But it's more realistic that Usher died though, else, the stage would be too easy.
And the fact team 2 and team 3 are facing soldiers 5 times their size.
Now the problem is how the Author treat MC, Jenna, and Aaron.
I hope the author is not being overprotective of these 3.
