No. absolutely NOTHING is making ANY sense, unless you're shonen-brained and think sparing the villain (who's a villain to the mc for no presentable reason, btw), is somehow deep and logical/makes sense
Explain to me, because MAYBE you're right. MAYBE i'm dumb and 'forgot' how the story goes.
1) Why the fuck were they fighting in the first place ? Why did she set her entire army on them ?
2) What did he learn from her from literally ONE DAY's interaction ?
3) after KILLING between 75 and 200 of her people, WHY spare her ?
4) If you need knowledge of science and big/strong spirit zone to do magic (established at the school/beginning you claim we forgot about), how can one STEAL magic ? (making him unable to do his is workable, if you count it as brainwashing/mind manipulation)
5) Why is HE obsessed with her too ??????

MC also ignored how him and his friends killed hundreds of her people while she was telling her to live instead of killing her....

I'm waiting until 145 to see what happens next, but i guess i'm dropping it.
It's clear in the comments that everyone agrees that whatever is happening makes 0 sense and is just cringe.

Update: it got worse. The author is completely and utterly shitting the bed.
New ark, new villain mc(s) barely interact with her, yet they act as if they've known each other for ages. She manages to STEAL HIS MAGIC. [HOW] under the system the author created ??? WHO THE FUCK KNOWS? WHY? WHAT'S HER MOTIVATION ? WHO THE FUCK KNOWS? I DON"T THINK EVEN THE AUTHOR DOES. In the process of fighting her they end up [KILLING], i'm not exaggerating, from ~75 to ~200 of her people/henchman, and at the end for the mc to regain his magic, he has to, again, i'm not exaggerating: [RAPE HER], or kill her and mc.... REFUSES TO KILL HER, AND DOES A HIGH-AND-MIGHTY EMOTIONAL SPEECH OF ALL THAT HE HAS LEARNED FROM HER IN THE..... 2-3 chapters/1 pub discussion they had.... AND THAT LIFE IS WORTHE "LIVING FOR, SO LIVE, DAMN IT". Again. This is LITERALLY 30s AFTER THEY HAD JUST KILLED ANOTHER ~30 OF HER PEOPLE OF THE ~75-200 TOTAL.
So it's no longer the type of story of the lame 'we won't kill anyone, even the villain'. It got downgraded to 'we'll kill everyone insignificant, except the main villain'
This was written after chapter 140. I'm giving it until 145, but i think i'm dropping it. with a 1/10
