There’d just be fuss about not getting “the original.”

That’s because it’s not actually Adidas, it’s an imitation knockoff from his disciple’s factories in China.

I haven’t thought about Kenpachi in a long time, but here he is, getting his rocks off again. That shameless battle junkie…

Right. It only appears darker due to the deficiencies inherent to the cobbled together nature of our ocular processing systems. The brighter the light, the more reflected light is available to bounce into the shadow, thereby making it less dark, and good camera systems can be configured to resolve both bright and dark areas simultaneously because they were designed by intelligence rather than cobbled together through a long and convoluted series of random biochemical accidents that managed to survive and reproduce.

12 chapters in and so far, I’m enjoying it quite a bit. Mc seems to actually be a decent dude instead of angy trash. For all the dungeon/hunter/system elements that’ve been done to death, this has some new twists that give it an interesting flavor. And dat foxxxx…! I want one!

Because the school isn’t about gaining knowledge and skills. These are always future elites who could be taught better and faster with a private tutor one on one. But sending them to a common school lets them network, make friends (“contacts!”) and gives the folks in charge of the society the opportunity to indoctrinate them into something approaching some kind of common ideal, where individually tutored individuals will be individually unpredictable and might prove intractable. Can’t have the students overthrowing the Established Order Of How Things Are Done every few years, after all…make them jump through a few hoops, tell them they did a good job following in your footsteps, and suddenly they feel like members of the club, even if they’re junior, and thus don’t want to wreck it since “their turn” is just a matter of waiting.
