You notice but he is hardly speaking, stuttering, etc etc.

It is literally just a messup.
His thoughts are absolutely scattered, and as he tries to understand the situation another person speaks up and scrambles things even more.

I mean rather they definitely had their character arcs regarding themselves being hindered mentally by others' achievements each, so everything to be explored with the characters as of current has. The plot does not permit anything moreso and im psure they even split to the group?

They were good characters, most wellbuilt "character" (in a storytelling sense) I've seen in a wild, and due circumstances I'd say they're even better characters than mc.

It's quite unfortunate but the logic adds up, realistically and looking at the story it doesn't make sense for mc to have a suitable rival out of them. Even if I get it it puts a hole in my heart.
Whole reason I started reading inf lvl murim was because the person who recc'd me this said mc goes through hardships, is all about hardowrk and doesn't get things bs'd to him.
Which I mean is sort of true but also kinda not...

Idk if I'd say reform/noble is better but a a world that progresses irrelevant to our main character would be nice, because that's the ideal story. And it would also facilitate unbridled and completely realistic character growth, the kind you'd only see in top tier side characters like brent and redhead.
