There's a species of jellyfish, I think, that's functionally immortal by being able to cycle back through certain stages of life (provided it has the food available)

We're just pouty that the thing that made this story different from the others, the MC being a blind child that has to deal with being blind, is not pretty much moot.
And the title of the story is now kinda wrong?

I get it's hard to write for a disability you don't have- But then why bother start writing it if it's only going to be taken away later?
I'd rather the MCs start out able-bodied, get blinded, then go on a journey to recover (or not) after that!

A valid point, and I'll concede that we don't know if he's actually the villain, and he probably isn't since that's the natural conclusion/plot twist in this situation
But I won't find it easy to forgive him when it involves non-criminal civilians if it ever comes to such a thing, which is why I felt the need to bring up the Joker
When two factions are fighting and someone starts hurting the innocent and uninvolved, that's a line I feel shouldn't be crossed (which the Joker does as his 9-5 basically)
At least Batman isn't going around beating the crap out of civilians that haven't/aren't committing crimes, he's sticking to the vigilantism

The truest curse is that even with immortality, it'd be impossible to consume every piece of art from every form
