If he gets a higher rank vampire essence he can have the immortality back. The overall stat boosts could make up for lacking the buff skill offering imprint as well. I think a rank 3 or higher vampire essence wouldn't be a bad option since the immortality seems incredibly useful for his build but maybe he'll get something similar through another essence or focus on something else.

It definitely feels like a waste. The immortality is wonderful and the regeneration boost is nice. Still, he could get another vampire essence. This one was a count so there's at least marquis, duke and king(or something equivalent). Given this the main drawback is that the guardian essence came with 3 active skills instead of 1, assuming he can farm a higher rank essence eventually. Looking at the other two skills. Eternal Life is the most fitting for a tank. Offering Imprint boosts his stats based on the number of sacrifices. This works best on groups and is based on the number of enemies so it may be better to just go for a higher overall stat boost from a higher rank vampire essence. Master of blood absorbs one skill temporarily by consuming the target's blood which is useful.
The most important skill is the passive Source of Darkness which makes him immortal as long as his heart is intact since this works really well with him being a tank. The chance to get 3 active skills is the biggest problem, but none of the active skills seem 100% essential since he can boost regeneration through other essences or his immortal imprint.

Shaiven is the name of the evil god's high priest. The only thing that would have happened in the background would be them getting called Demon King.

He became crown prince through the support of the hunting minister who's been growing in power and his brother's support. The king died and he became the new king. He used the minister's attempt to kick out the other prince as a chance to increase and strengthen his forces by sending them to develop untouched land. Next he declared his intention for the dwarf to be appointed to a minister position partially to shift their efforts from opposing the expedition and presumably open the door for reform.

There's something called the 4 symbols in Chinese mythology which are Azure Dragon, Vermillion Bird, White Tiger and Black Tortoise. There's also something called the 4 holy beasts which are Qilin, Dragon, Turtle and Fenghuang. Fenghuang and Vermillion bird are two distinctive vaguely Phoenix like birds in Chinese mythology. Fenghuang isn't that close to a Phoenix while the vermillion bird is closer since it's always covered in flames.

It can actually be easier that way. Just prevent any dirty tricks and stop any planned trap and he won't go down easily. If it was anything other than trickery then mc should know how he died, but he just said that it was announced he died without mentioning specifics. His ability to talk to swords is pretty good in rooting out plots and he just gained a unique eye as well.

In an earlier chapter he switched the lizardmen's blessing from insect to bird and said this would take effect in future generations.
