Starting at Sucky rank is almost impossible due to the entry exam and even then most people who start at it climb to Ass rank within a day, and the worldwide ranking registration isn’t processed until the day after you join, so there’s less than a dozen pathetic pipsqueaks permanently posted as S ranks in the entire world!

After Ass rank, you can climb to Butt rank with a few months of reasonable effort. These ranks are still so weak and pathetic that the kingdom has to hold your hand and tell you what to do the whole while, so you realllly want to make Common rank ASAP. After that, a year or so of dutiful quest completion earns you Decent rank, and if you have actual talent you might even squeak into Excellent adventurer status!

But only the best of the best, the crem de la crem, the most amazing and OP individuals known to history can ever hope to make it to Fabulous rank!

And no one in the history of the world has ever reached the theoretical but seldom mentioned FF rank as a Fantastically Fabulous adventurer!

But MC is only 14, so he’s got time to climb!

Prediction: Gods are mc’s classmates summoned so far into the past of this world that eventually they became gods by leveling up too much and mostly forgot their origins as a part of constantly reincarnating as new gods, so they only dimly remember mc but instinctively want to help him as a friend from the ancient past.

It’s my fault. I let it sit unread for long enough it was one of the earlier things in my list of updated content, so I caught up a few days ago. So naturally it has to update again right after and get right back in the queue.

So I’m guessing publisher said “Wrap it up in ten chapters or we just axe it,” thus the phenomenally rushed and contrived ending. Yawn.
