i find it nice that the author has written this in a way that such a theory is very much possible. It would also explain why a lot of these powerful demons don't seem to care that he's human because they have had some interaction with them in one form or another.

what if the demon king is actually suppose to be human in order to prevent a pure demon from going pema wicked and attacking the human world. its far fetched, but the whole forbidding humans thing seems a bit more involved that just simply keeping them out.

honestly the quicker they tie up this revenge crap the better. it's the weakest part of this manga especially when the world building has brought about more interesting plot points. He even has a better reason to stop him now even without the revenge angle. Every time he goes into the "i can finally have my revenge" monologue, it's unironically super cringe.
