They release hard cash into the world economy(gold) to make their currency more powerful.

This enter they currency into the competition abruptly and destabilize others countries economies, generally when this happens (financial crisis) people run to liquify their assets as only the first ones will be able too as there aren’t enough liquid money in circulation compare to all other type of assets. This causes a mayor depression and fucks up the economy. (Basically banks dont have enough money to pay everyone at the same time if they try to get their money, most of it is in investments in several places, and because of people trying to get their money , this investments go downhill making it so banks loses massive amount of money and can’t give their clients their money, snowball effect)

This will be a mayor win for china and strengthen their economy, but in reality as the gold they said they got isn’t real, this is a kamikaze tactic, because as they too dont have something to back up their assets (in this case gold) their economy will be fucked too.
