Ki didn’t completely dissapeared (or he would be dead) just have an amount so minimal that he should’ve been dead. He never had much ki to begin with. He didn’t learned the sword the traditional way(martial arts) but he learned by observing the other master and learning the flow.

How it make no sense? They haven't explained how the God of heaven rewind times or requisites for it to do it. You are assuming it make no sense base on how you imagine how it works.Also they haven't explained how timelines works in this universe.
