In all honesty, why doesn't just kill them. Even just killing 1 is enough to send a message. These people are too stupid to think logically (religion does do that to the brain), therefore there's no reasoning with them

People die in the slums all the time. Plus, it's such a common trope for people to leave their enemies alive only for that to come bite them in the ass

It would stop them from coming after him though. Dead criminals don't re-offend

So they're just doing whatever at this point
