However, with everything that has happened and how their relationship has progressed, I will be satisfied with this ending in a few chapters (also, you have to remember that the author is a new mother, so maybe she's trying to manage being a mother with being a mangaka. I believe you and I can both agree that it'd be better if she ended the series early rather than push herself through and accidentally end up dead from the stress.)

That's another possibility.

As a guess, I see one of three possibilities.
1) She had been outclassed by a weaker opponent and submitted to him out of a sense of pride (I think.)
2) She didn't feel the need to reveal herself at that point. That could've thrown everything catawampus and made the story even more confusing.
3) She was just that horny at that point and wanted to fulfill her dark fantasy.
