OK but who's the man he's facing now? Do we know this person from before?

Very applicable. It really could have been any ass-pull so while none of us could expect it to be some conflict between Sun and Moon gods, it's hardly surprising either.

It sounded like he did, at least with the man. But if you say he doesn't....

MC isn't enslaved with this magic despite being a lance, correct?

What is this "protective" enchantment suppose to accomplish? Sure seems like alot of being attacked despite the enchantment not being broken yet to the point I wonder why they even bothered to try and break it. I guess it's good for keeping out fog when at full strength? Ohh scary fog....

If he is a traitor, wouldn't it be dangerous to be alone with two lances he controls? Especially if something is found, I don't get what is trying to be accomplished here other than potentially killed.

Those words don't preclude Master already knowing the magic. Those words could just indicate Master was surprised to see her disciple use that magic.

But you also could be correct with Master just figuring out the magic on the spot.

Well the scantalators might have released the one with the notice of the break late and this chapter early.

You draw that conclusion based on?

If you are in a state of essentially torture, continuous pain of some sort whether it be body or mind, sure, and only when that becomes the case.

But we can see how it is for someone to outlaw loved ones with pets. People who raise weasels or rats etc that only live a few years. They adapt to the loss and adjust. You could say they become callous over the loss but still able to make new connections, even with new relatively short lived beings. And yes some of these people really bond with these short lived beasts.

Humans (and beings like humans) can adjust and learn and can adjust and learn to handle longevity including the loss of loved ones.

Also agelessness is especially not a curse as you can kill yourself if you ever feel it's a burden and the slow betrayal of your body as you age is a cruel thing. Ageless is not a curse because aging is a curse.

It could also just be wanting to die from loneliness of lack of tong lived persons like her, or "immortality is a curse" thinking where just tired of living in general. She might not care at all about other vampires being killed.

I don't buy that "immortality is a curse" especially when we are talking about just a unaging immortality. It's not like MC can't be killed or couldn't suicide.

That's a weird analogy, if corruption is rain on a sunny day, isn't the ones wet the ones hurt by the corruption?

Maybe the books were sent home to practice walking while balancing more and more books on their heads like acrobats.

You need to be able \\to read to learn necessary stuff from the books, that is why so many books were sent home with them. And without being able to read them there was no point in sending books home with them.

You'd figure they'd check who can read or not before sending them home with many volumes of books

You mean "grandpa"? Which I assumed was addressing the old dragon to yellows left.
