For this series: I can probably see why - most comments have been fairly harmless.
For other series which have been completely ruined: it's irrefutable.

Still, if you - for some reason - like spoilers of what's to come and/or people flexing the fact that they've already read the work and have to prove it by ruining it for other members of the community, that's your choice and I can't argue; for myself and numerous others though: it's a plain cunty thing to do (I mean: I'm not scrolling back to earlier chapters of this to shit on the more intense parts for future readers, nor would I ever).
