For real. A mysterious anonymous faceless dude manipulating everything from the shadows who actually talks to MC instead of staying as mysterious as possible? Who even writes a villain like that?
If he's gonna talk to MC anyway, either give him a face or at least make him pretend to be a good guy at first, like with Hitogami in MT.

Good to see MC being socially awkward and failing to read people again. He was starting to feel a little too much like one of those flawless, perfect, cringy self insert characters.

Not sure whether I should be amused or horrified, but what I do know is that we've just witnessed something very special. Proud of you, Javier. https://i.postimg.cc/yYSTGKVm/i.gif

That was 10 years after she told him she would help him, though. By that time, it wouldn't have been strange for him to have already been killed anyway.

So, uh... Did she completely forget that she promised to help MC back then? I know she was a kid and all, but she could have at least told what she saw happening to an adult in her family or something. She probably had enough influence to get something to be done, at least.
The writing quality has been getting worse and worse, and now the art quality is following right behind. Wouldn't surprise me if this ended up getting axed.

Keep 'em coming. Can't have too many slaves uncles and grandpas for Somi!

The crazy part is that they let him stay as an elder just because he suffered in the past. Guilt can make people do really stupid things.

She's not a bad person but I wouldn't say she deserves a waifu title. She probably had her reasons, but the fact is she noticed MC's situation and promised him she'd help him, then just disappeared for like 10 years.

Yeah, this was already a high tier manhwa, but this arc is for sure letting it make a run for the top tier.

Yep for sure. The MC in that is also not too smart and gets so lost in his chuunibyou delusions that he doesn't notice what people around him actually think or feel. Really good example.

The best stories with an OP MC are those that actually focus more on the side characters. The MC should also be insecure, not all that smart, or socially incompetent in some way.
If an OP MC is a constant presence and has no real flaws, it almost always means you're reading some self-insert mental masturbation written by an inexperienced author.

You can tell he's never had to deal with toxic self-absorbed people who never reflect on themselves or consider the possibility of them being wrong.

Yeah the author really wants to pretend his identity is a big mystery and have a dramatic reveal even though it makes no sense. At this point, people should be speculating about him being an illegitimate child his dad had with a lover or something.

Just a normal translator mistake from not paying enough attention. Tends to happen in slow, boring chapters with not much going on.

Almost at the level of the ones Hulk wears.
