I think the author's point is more that "good" and "evil" are human concepts, and that they don't really apply to the plane of existence to which ghosts belong.
It's just that some of them are like hungry predatory animals, while others are like parasites, and yet others are like guardians who have the need to protect things they feel attached to. That kind of thing.

Sounds like you like trashy ecchi harem manga. Which is perfectly fine. They also have shitty writing but usually better than the one in normal shounen harem manga.
