I love those two series you mentioned!! I'm so sad Polar Opposites already ended :( I wanted to cheer on the rest of the side characters' love stories. All of their relationships are MUCH healthier compared to Horimiya.

Hmm.. maybe I'll let this series update for a few more chapters. I'm not interested in the current drama arc.
I keep reminding myself, he might be an adult, but this is essentially his first relationship too. Mistakes are bound to happen, but the way he is drawn being all "big goofy dumb dumb" kinda pisses me off.

Yo this one is so nice! Even the pacing, for a oneshot, doesn't feel rushed at all. Having no time wasted for the "i was an overworked Japanese woman who used to read novels then I died" back story allowed more pages for the actual important plot.
It reminds me of that other manga where we follow the "villainess" prepare 24 hours before condemnation, but that one was a series.

Maybe a raft, but at least it's not a door with only one person on it.

I kinda wish the author drew a blush on the bat's face when she reacted to the mouth to mouth dialog.

It's either the author doesn't know why, OR that is the explanation. It's just not explicit.
At first I thought it was because of "love", but Suu already loved Mio on his 1st run. It wasn't about happiness / being fulfilled or any of those vague human emotions either. He was happy, he had a friend, he was getting on with his career. So... the only new thing he did is sex getting married.

Also, no explanation why it happened to him.

Ahhh.. I can't believe it ended. It's so beautiful, so sad, but also, no explanation?? So why DID he, and only him, turned back like that? So this time he didn't turn back because he's not a virgin? Because if it's about love, he met Mio on his 1st run and still turned back. So what made the 2nd run different? A confession? A proposal? I don't think he confessed to Mio before. Are we not meant to understand except for Suu?
Tbh, it's been a long read that I forgot who's who at the sakura viewing. Will need to re-read.
Gonna miss this beautifully drawn, confusing manga.

I've been spoiled by manga that often writes down characters inner thoughts. This manga doesn't, so now, I feel anxious wondering what these expression means!! 😆😆

Why is she acting like she'd won? Of course Riina would politely accept her rose. She should know that's the etiquette for these things. It's not like Riina would reject the rose, or treat her special by accepting the rose.

Also, kinda hoping that Jade and her just date each other when the last arc ended, because it looks like we're entering love rivals territory where Lisbeth likes Jade and Teresse will be all "I'll support you" but seeing them together will make her heart ache, and she'd wonder "what does this mean?" and pulls away even more--after what Cordelia says.
I want more scenes with Teresse showing her strength! Like that giving birth to horse or something. Something inappropriate for 'ladies' but totally the reason why everyone loves her.

This is why I loved Kanata Kara [From Far Away] because they were able to give closure to the family that the MC left.

Or at least allow a few of the existing characters to actually have magic in some subtle way, like body strengthening or something.

But I agree that the evil snake head king is just so...convoluted? It's weird that everybody just "forgot" about it until it's mentioned. Even the flying monsters.
