This chapter confirms it for me: MC is just a Tyranid. His nest is a living, breathing thing that's also a part of him. The Space Dogs essentially just got into his stomach by getting in the ship. They quite literally wandered into the belly of the beast. And now, we wait for the conclusion of this dreadful buffet.

I like the detail that MC, when mimicking the soldiers, didn't use military language. It could still be inferred for the audience, but since it was that tense of a situation, in universe it still made sense.

To all cat lovers out there:

The cat is still biomass.

So I can treat this human faction as the Imperium for the MC's Tyranid status, good to know.

I find it interesting that now One Piece is paralleling a bit of Pirates of the Caribbean, at least the whole "EVERYONE IS LOOKING FOR THE MCGUFFIN" point (The One Piece for... Well, One Piece, and Davy Jones' heart for PotC).
Now it has become a race against time. Whoever finds the One Piece now will control the course of history.

The goal of the devil is to make the corpse he inhabits become the king of this country. But he was kinda dealt a bad hand, because the princess (corpse) is a bastard that was pursued by the queen once she knew she was born, so now the devil has to both tiptoe around the fact that she's the bastard daughter of the king, but also that he's a devil in the corpse in the first place. Idk what the devil will do once he/she gets the throne, though.
