The more this manga advances, the more it looks like just a Resident Evil/Uzumaki/Berserk hybrid with yuri mixed in.
And I'm all for it.

I think that because of what one of the Vegapunks said here, and of Vegapunk's fixation with Nika, I believe that the Transmitter Snail is hidden in the Thousand Sunny.
I could be completely wrong though.

Oda probably wouldn't reveal this via Vegapunk. However, this fact points out that the water has indeed been rising, so one must ask themselves... How did the world look like before the void century? If I am reading this right... There was a lot less water. Maybe even an actual continent that isn't a choker on the planet.

Ohhh, interesting, so her spatial awareness works kinda like magic echolocation that emanates from her eyes.
The eyes shoot out a beam of mana that bounces off of objects and comes back, letting her "see" basic shapes. But just like some bat predators might have evolved to sense the soundwaves of echolocation, demons can sense the mana of spatial awareness, so it turns you into a beacon for demons. Very interesting, and I wonder if this limitation imposed by nature helps her deal with it in some other ways like relying on a mix of hearing and magic to properly feel her surroundings. Or maybe she'll eventually learn to use this ability like some bats using the echolocation as sound weapons against prey. Either way, let's keep reading and see where this goes!

Ok, this new chapter made me truly get invested in the new guys. I was already kinda invested on Christian man, but this chapter just gave a new coat of pain to them. Just ordinary people trying to make the best in an unforgiving world... kinda has a Dark Souls/Berserk vibe to it.

This sure is art. Too bad my brain is too smooth to understand it past "this is deep, profound, and bittersweet".
Again... This manga sure was a treat. In the end, everything led to peace, towards a new beginning.
At least it's what my smooth brain interpreted here XD

This manga is a masterpiece.
It's not even finished, but it's a masterpiece. This is art. True, emotional art.
Questions about mortality, life, death, purpose, meaning, freedom, the sympathy for the machine, the tragic beauty of a world that has ended.
This is the manga that made me cry and tear up the most in a short period of time, out of all of the ones i've read.
Overall, 12/10. This one is a treat to read, especially if you put the "Self-esteem Fund" track from Portal to play while reading. It captures the vibes of the world perfectly.

Edit: Also this joins the list of manga that made me cry for a random object.
First was One Piece, with a freaking Pirate Ship. And now, this, with a box on threads.

Even after the world crumbles down, their song will echo the last hope of those people, and the dragon will keep his watch. For the rest of time.
