Emotional distress, plus knowing his physical abilities, equals to her severely overthinking her plan. Happens to the best of us.

They have snipers at the ready in several positions, though she doesn't know that. They have the info on the timing of her teleports and probably on the range, considering that the US has been monitoring her gamma ray bursts with every teleport. It would be severely difficult for them to cover for every spot she could teleport, however. I think she has exactly one foolproof spot to flee to, which is the interior of the cave she trapped Gihan in, seeing as only she knows where it is.

Did you read? She unlocked that ability in a moment of intense emotional distress, something she has never shown prior to this. That ability was also shown to not be fully controllable by her, being more an intense instinctual reaction of her body triggered by said emotional distress, and once she calmed down just a tiny bit, it was gone.

The pieces of rope by themselves didn't hurt her, but the tiny fraction of time of the cutting, teleporting and positioning made so that once she came back from the teleport, she would overlap with the rope, which is something that has been shown to be able to hurt physically SEVERAL TIMES during this tale. No clipping has been a weapon she has used before several times.

And the knife slicing rope that quick... Fiction. It's a problem, but almost every piece of media I've seen does severely underestimate the resistence of rope.

She was clearly VERY emotionally distressed prior and at the present moment, seen as she suddenly unlocked, unconsciously, the ability to blink 800 times per second, an ability that if tamed, might make her intangible and immune to damage. Since she wasn't thinking clearly for a while now, she of course wouldn't be able to beat an experienced killer.

I see! So this arc will be the point where we see the results of Gray's development. Most people he has helped before accepted him as a Lich. Some even renounced the Holy Spirits because of him, showing how far he has grown past his naive "give money to the poor" mentality. Now the only thing he lacks is power, as in, actual power that belongs to him. And I'm pretty sure that the Wild Hunt of incoming Liches are going to play an important part in this war.
