Quick summary.
MC and a bunch of other people got Isekai'd to a murim world all at once a few years back. As the isekai'd people died in the murim world, they came back to their original world with the powers and techniques they learned in the murim world. MC was one of the most powerful and long lived people, but he went through absolute hell to get that strong. Most of his antagonist and friends are strong people from the murim world. On top of all of this, monsters and dungeons have started appearing in their original world, so you have 2 different power systems existing in the world at the same time, martial arts from the murim and skills from the fantasy. Martial arts have a way higher power level than fantasy skills at the moment so MC is way stronger than anything the fantasy world is currently producing.

This story stuck with me because the MC had a somewhat refreshing "idgaff" attitude about everything except his sister and friends. He stomped so hard on his enemy's schemes and it was quite cathartic.

I have the same feeling as you do. The new art isn't bad and the original art wasn't anything particularly special either. It's just adequate I guess.

All those times I saw people put pearls in their mouths to see if they're high quality are now a lot more gross from this new perspective...

He's using it as collateral after memorizing it I guess. If anyone stronger than him tries to kill him the secret techniques of the family will be lost forever.

I totally agree. I hate when stories drag on too long. This feels like an appropriate last boss fight.

Even if you dump a whole bunch of money on the artists they still can only produce so many chapters in a time period.
