I actually really liked it until this plot happened. I guess it's an example of how one bad plot point can torpedo a series as a whole.

It's the dungeon hunter plot Mc, with a regressor plot antagonist, and an isekai plot mentor. Seems pretty streamlined.

I mean, it's the difference between an attack mage and a buffer. If anything, he would just be the team support. It didn't look like he could do anything himself outside of that golem.

Prob magic. She remarked that she wanted to see if they would really listen to her commands no matter what. So, there must be something compelling them.

I imagine that is the case for outsiders. But like I said, his parents at least know without a doubt what he is. If I found out that my kid was an impossible combination of two species, two pure blood lines at that, I would have a bit more of an animated reaction. They were just like "Huh...anyway."
