In the coarse of trying to resolve the trauma, I guess it was revealed that the actual class rep was MC orphanage director. Which explained why he was such a downer, why he had a poor self image, and why he stressed to the kids to try and be better people to others. Because he never did when he had the chance.

It's actually a common trope that dwarven women also have beards. The whole race is "manly", even the women and children.

Prob not. Being the head of a spiritualist sect, he likely has more knowledge of the structure and influential beings in the yokai realm. He may have recognized mc for who he really is/was.

It's not as dark and has a few tid bits missing, but all in all, it was good. I expected it to be terrible with the quality of shows as of late, but it was actually pretty good.

I was wrong about Barbosa's rank, I did look, but didn't find it. I will still stand by attrition being the seeming goal, though. They likely wanted to wear down and eliminate his men, leaving him by himself in the end. Which was working, but now Hektor showing up is gonna make that all moot.

Ah, I went back several chapter and couldn't see where they mentioned his actual ranking. Everything I saw just said that he "was one of the 12" and I know he had just entered it, so I assumed he was 12. If he was 6th, and the sent the 7th, That is rather dumb. The only devils advocate I could play in that sense is maybe they thought he would be more exhausted? In any other series they may be right, but the plot armor on Roman is getting thicker and thicker, to the point that he hasn't really had a difficult fight in a while.

I wouldn't know. I kept up until the end of the first arc where they finally conquer and escaped the island/compound place they were being kept in. After that they went out into the real world with their abilities and it all seemed like one of those stories that should have just ended there, but didn't, and those series never go over well. I'd rather stop reading on a satisfying point then to continue reading and just wish it would end already.

What are you even talking about? They sent out the 7th rank of their country. That's a jump of 5 ranks. The rest of the forces being sent at him weren't even theirs, they were another countries, and their whole purpose was to wear down his forces over time with non-stop fights, which was working. I won't say they aren't stupid, because he's clearly far stronger than they are acknowledging, but their goal is clearly quantity over quality to win a war of attrition.
